If you should ever find yourself in the position of being a breastfeeding mom, I have a fashion tip for you. Those nursing shirts with openings are great. However, when you get up to answer the door and let in a repair person, make sure that the flaps have been pulled back into place and that your bra has been returned to its upright and locked position BEFORE opening the door.
I'm just sayin'.

Oh no! Almost as bad as the time that I realised that I had rearranged my pants in front of a full length mirror in the uni convenience store during peak hour.
Almost!

Yowch!
My related advice is that after you return to work, and you're pumping, don't forget to button the buttons on your shirt BEFORE you leave the pumping room. Especially if there are any high traffic areas between your desk and the pumping room.

Well SOMEONE has to brighten the repair-guys day.. why NOT you?

Ohhh no. Did the repair man point it out or did you just notice it? I hope the latter, because it is much more embarassing when someone else points it out to you. And I hope he gave you a good discount on the repair.

Oh, really. Really, truly hanging out there. Aack. I discovered it when I went to back to the couch after letting him in.
He never said anything directly about it and I'm not sure how much he saw - but the first thing he said to me was something rather incoherent about the baby, which might have been because he was flustered. It's hard to imagine that he DIDN'T see it, given how flagrant the situation was. But thankfully we both just pretended it didn't happen.

Egad! I'm glad the guy at the door was either oblivious to it or nice about it! I'm too unskilled to deal with nursing shirts or even button-down shirts. I'm a lift-up-your-shirt-n-bra and stick the kid's mouth on boob type of gal, m'self.

Oy. Well, at least he wasn't a total pig about it.

And if you happen to feed while wearing a nightshirt and sitting on the couch and have just basically pulled the thing up over your breast...make sure the hem isn't tucked into the bottom of the bra when you stand up to open the door to the flower delivery fellow and definately make sure you have undies on at the time!
