Wow! This is my lucky day! Julie - yes, that Julie - read my blog and liked it! I feel like Sally Field at the Oscars: She likes me! She likes me!
But, d'oh! I had messed around with the settings last night and accidentally turned off the comments. The horror.... I could have had a comment from one of the IF blogging goddesses, but I blew it. Woe is me.
We have both known for as long as we can remember that we wanted to have kids. We decided to start down the road to parenthood about three years ago, beginning with research. In May of 2004 we began inseminating, and in July, we hit the jackpot. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a partial molar pregnancy, and we endured a miscarriage, followed by months of medical treatment, monitoring, and frustration. We began trying to conceive again in May 2005 (against our doctor's advice). We were lucky to get pregnant again in July. Despite our fears and worries, this pregnancy went smoothly and ended with a wonderful home birth and a beautiful baby girl. A new chapter begins....

That has got to be the greatest feeling--getting added to Julie's list! I felt just like you did (complete with Sally Field quote to my husband!)

Yeah - it's pretty absurd the degree to which it made my day! Glad to know I'm in good company (even to the quote).
