"Things are looking up" indeed! I haven't been to the blog in a long time, and holy cow--congratulations! Hugs all around. We are all doing well, scrambling to get the things done that we need to before we return to sunny VA (really, compared to MA, the DC metro area is tropical)in June. Kate is running, beginning to talk, and has definite opinions. David is a monster for Dora the Explorer (sigh)--well, really Swiper the Fox, the only delinquent on the show. Genes will tell, I guess. Congrats again--I'll check in more often now and root for little.... Andrea? Andrew? You used my first name; you might as well use my middle one...
We have both known for as long as we can remember that we wanted to have kids. We decided to start down the road to parenthood about three years ago, beginning with research. In May of 2004 we began inseminating, and in July, we hit the jackpot. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a partial molar pregnancy, and we endured a miscarriage, followed by months of medical treatment, monitoring, and frustration. We began trying to conceive again in May 2005 (against our doctor's advice). We were lucky to get pregnant again in July. Despite our fears and worries, this pregnancy went smoothly and ended with a wonderful home birth and a beautiful baby girl. A new chapter begins....

Holy crimany, we just blew through 8 boxes in less than two weeks. We have an unhealthy obsession with Tagalongs and Samoas.
Enjoy your plunder!
