Strike Two

Today's temp was low again, so we're pretty much considering it over. Yes, it's only 12 dpo and there is some faint chance that Jen is pregnant, but it's not looking as good as it was a few days ago. I googled FRER, and there are several reports of false positives (though peeonastick says if the line stays to consider it a true positive). Basically we're confused and cranky with ourselves for all the testing and insanity. If you're an optimist, keep sending us lucky vibes. We're trying to be realists today.

  • My fingers are still crossed, but my very unscientific advice is to do someting AWAY from your house. Aren't you both done with school? Take a personal field trip. Visit the Land of No HPTs! Also, I managed to distract myself for a few hours last month by calculating how much I could potentially be spending on HPTs, and then imagining what I could be spending that money on for the nursery instead. Hang tough, girls!

  • Lord, no, don't we wish. You southerners have all the luck - but come August, we'll still be out and you'll be back already.

I did say to Cait yesterday, "Buy as many HPTs as you want but let's try not to spend more on tests than we did on the sperm!"

  • Oh my. How nerve wracking! Well - I don't have quite the story you're looking for, but our CLFs just gave birth one month ago to their sweet little girl who was conceived through AI/donor sperm. They managed to get pregnant on the first try (crazy, huh?). But the first three tests they took were just the day before she was to start her period and then the next day they got just the faintest of faint lines. They saved it to show us. And now they have a baby. So keep it up - it'll happen!

  • The waiting agonies....bah....awful! But,I have to agree with you that NOT testing is a far more healthy approach (healhty in terms of keeping some shred of sanity through all this TTC nonsense.) I am actually a proud member of the "Hold Your Pee Club" on an infertility chatboard and we all agree that HPTs beat out cigarettes for the whole "most addictive shit" category. Hang in there, girls and, of course, sending luck and hope and all the good stuff your way.

  • I'm still holding out hope.

Maybe a late implant? could explain the dip in temp today and neg test. I agree, hold off testing again-tough I know!

    Good luck!

  • I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you guys! And I agree that you two should leave the house and try not to test for a couple of days.
    Hang in there!

  • I'm not ruling out a PG until the FAT lady sings. HPT's themselves are mysterious devices that cannot be relied on this early! So don't put too much faith in them. I'm still sending lucky vibes... use them however you wish! They are for luck~!
