Oh, this is the SECOND freaking leak in a week and a half.* Cait's sister (and her sister - didn't I tell you our family is complicated?!?) are visiting and one was taking a shower. Suddenly the dining room was having its own shower.
This is an old leak recurring, and actually, in a way, it's good news, because it forced us to track down the problem: bad caulk. Hence, we are headed out to the hardware store shortly. And we'd never had the ceiling patched from the first time, so no big harm there.
Fun, fun, fun!
*The first was a leak from the unit above us from their A/C. It didn't do major damage, the problem has been fixed, and our neighbor will have to pay for the minor drywall work.
At least you guys know it is just caulk... can't remember when you were up our way if our shower had gone bye-bye yet...but on May 25th we had a sceen from the money pit... water flowing out of light sockets! Anyhow it is just now, as in today getting retiled...let me tell you, 100 year old homes have interesting pipes...
Emilin and I had not end of fun making caulk jokes when we were painting.
I, too, need to caulk some more, but around the counter (much less pretty than yours) to keep the ants out. Although they are gone now that the nice man poisoned our house, but I don't want them to have an easy way in.
We have both known for as long as we can remember that we wanted to have kids. We decided to start down the road to parenthood about three years ago, beginning with research. In May of 2004 we began inseminating, and in July, we hit the jackpot. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a partial molar pregnancy, and we endured a miscarriage, followed by months of medical treatment, monitoring, and frustration. We began trying to conceive again in May 2005 (against our doctor's advice). We were lucky to get pregnant again in July. Despite our fears and worries, this pregnancy went smoothly and ended with a wonderful home birth and a beautiful baby girl. A new chapter begins....

distractions from the uterus are good... water through the ceiling - perhaps not the best one out there! ah, the joys of home ownership... :-)
