Cait fulfilled her annual Dyke Point Quota this afternoon installing a new, bigger and more powerful disposal to replace the one that left our kitchen smelling gross. Disposals are a two-fer: water AND electrical!
(Meanwhile I earned OCD points by painstakingly restoring some damaged board books, organizing our photo CDs, and packing away old baby bottles.)

We have both known for as long as we can remember that we wanted to have kids. We decided to start down the road to parenthood about three years ago, beginning with research. In May of 2004 we began inseminating, and in July, we hit the jackpot. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a partial molar pregnancy, and we endured a miscarriage, followed by months of medical treatment, monitoring, and frustration. We began trying to conceive again in May 2005 (against our doctor's advice). We were lucky to get pregnant again in July. Despite our fears and worries, this pregnancy went smoothly and ended with a wonderful home birth and a beautiful baby girl. A new chapter begins....

V. impressive.
I really like that kitchen set-up, on the corner. Is there a corner window, too, or only windows on the sides?
I miss wood cabinets. Ours are white laminate of all things, and they are not holding up well.
